🎶 Beginner Ukulele Class – Absolute Beginners Welcome! (Fall 2026) 🎶

Is your child completely new to the ukulele? This is the perfect place to start! Designed for students with zero experience, this fun, engaging class builds a strong musical foundation from the very first day.

Here’s what your child will learn over our 8 weeks together:

• 🎵 String Names – Learn the names of the four strings (G-C-E-A) and how to remember them!

• 🪕 Parts of the Ukulele – Get to know the instrument inside and out (body, neck, frets, headstock, tuning pegs, and more).

• 🎶 Chords vs. Single Notes – Understand the difference between strumming chords and playing individual melody notes—and when to use each.

• 🎤 One-Chord Song Performance – By the end of the session, students will work their way up to performing a simple song using just one chord, building confidence and stage presence!

All of this happens in a supportive, encouraging group setting where every child progresses at their own pace.

No need to buy an instrument! We provide a quality ukulele for your child to use during class—just show up and play!

📅 Class Dates: Thursdays, September 24 – November 19, 2026 (8 weekly sessions)
🕞 Class Time: Thursdays, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
🚫 No Class Date (Thursday off): October 29
(Make-up week, if needed, will be held December 7–11)

📌 Enrollment Window:
Saturday, September 5 (8:00 AM) – Saturday, September 12 (8:00 AM), 2026
No early sign-ups allowed (per BMS policy). Late enrollments require prior approval from school coordinators.

💲 Program Fees – 8-Week Session:

Your $251 total includes:

• All course materials (method book, song sheets, and learning supplies)

• Use of a loaner ukulele provided in class (no purchase necessary!)

(Instruments are sanitized and maintained between uses. Ukuleles remain the property of the program and must be returned at the end of the session.)

👉 Important – About Continuing After This Class:
This beginner session includes a loaner instrument at no extra cost beyond the $35 fee. If your child loves the class and wants to continue into the next level in a future session, you will need to purchase your own ukulele at that time. We’ll provide guidance on what to buy!

👉 Special Note for Left-Handed Beginners:
Please let us know during checkout if your child is left-handed. We will reserve a left-handed instrument and adjust the materials to ensure the best learning experience!
